2013 ESDAC Community Garden Project

The Edinburg SDA Church (ESDAC) Garden Club wanted to cultivate one idle area within the church site. The purposes are to promote healthy lifestyle with the emphasis on fresh and organic vegetables and to encourage the Adventurers, Pathfinders and other interested individuals into gardening. The new group of eight families planned to erect perimeter fence, acquire water, lay pipes and prepare the land but did not have enough capital to implement them.

The club requested ASM the amount of $1000 which was readily granted. This was in line with ASM’s thrust on food production and livelihood.

Fast forward to this time, several raised plots are growing assorted organic vegetables like broccoli, spinach, beans, eggplant and many others.

The different produce are for sale to the public and the proceeds would be used to support the fledgling club and to the different ministries of ESDAC when adequate funds are collected.
