Pastor Arden Perdon was enjoying his retirement here in the United States when a call for help bothered him. The call was for the renovation of a church in Burgos, Viga, Catanduanes in the Philippines.
He could not hold his tears when he saw the sorry state of the church. “This is a structure fitted for goats,” he said. “This needs to be fixed.”
Coincidentally, the church was in the same ministerial district where Pastor Perdon started his ministerial career. He, thus, asked his children to help materialize his goal of renovating the church.
Upon learning that ASM is helping facilitate the implementation of projects in the Philippines, he approached ASM to partner with him.
The church renovation costing $2,550.00 was completed early this year 2013. Backsliders are seen going back to church. The brethren are happy to be in a house fitted for the children of the Lord.
However, Pastor Perdon is not done yet. It is his ardent desire to help at least one church a year in the Philippines while he is still alive. That is surely one magnanimous way of looking back to where one came from.
ASM, as help channel, has direct link with various missions and local conferences in the Philippines.
