In April 2022, Miriam Collado reached out to Advent SHARE Ministries (ASM) with a request to help complete the Grade 5 and Grade 6 classrooms at Divisoria Adventist Multigrade School. Located in Divisoria, Santiago City, Isabela, Philippines, the school was in urgent need of assistance to provide a proper learning space for its students.
The proposal outlined that the completed classrooms would initially benefit twenty-six (26) students and five (5) teachers, ensuring they had a suitable environment for in-person learning. With the return of face-to-face classes following the COVID-19 pandemic, the timing of the project was crucial.
After ASM approved the request, funds were released, and construction began on August 8, 2022. The work continued until September 8, 2022, just in time for the reopening of schools. ASM coordinated closely with Nobleza Cruz, Jhona Perez, and Miriam Collado to ensure the project's successful completion.
ASM contributed 100,196.47 PHP toward the construction, covering a significant portion of the total project cost of 250,000 PHP. To help complete the project, the school board members, church members, and the Home and School Association pledged their support by contributing labor and additional resources.
Through this collaboration, the Divisoria Adventist Multigrade School now has improved facilities to support its students and teachers, providing a better environment for learning and growth. ASM remains committed to supporting education and uplifting communities by providing the necessary resources to create lasting change.
