2022 Bolog Kiangan Water Project

Access to clean and safe water is essential for good health and a thriving community. In Sitio Danghay, Barangay Bulog, Kiangan, Ifugao, Philippines, families had long struggled with an inadequate water supply, making daily life challenging and increasing the risk of waterborne diseases. Recognizing this urgent need, local leaders submitted a request to Advent SHARE Ministries (ASM) in November 2021, seeking support for a water project that would provide a sustainable and reliable source of potable water.

ASM responded to the call for help by donating 203,730 PHP (approximately $4,074) to fund the project. After careful planning and coordination, the project was successfully completed in 2022, bringing life-changing improvements to the community. A total of forty-seven (47) families—comprising 187 individuals—now have direct access to clean water.

The project involved installing 2,500 meters of PVC pipes to transport fresh spring water from its source to a central water tank. From there, the water was distributed through strategically placed faucets, ensuring that families could easily access safe water for their daily needs.

A good water source means more than just convenience—it means healthier lives. With a steady supply of clean water, families in Barangay Bulog now experience reduced exposure to waterborne illnesses, improved sanitation, and greater ease in carrying out essential daily tasks such as cooking and cleaning.

By investing in clean water, ASM has not only provided a basic necessity but has also empowered the community with the foundation for a healthier and more sustainable future. This project is a testament to the power of generosity and collaboration in improving lives, one drop at a time.
